The ULAK 5G Core Network forms the foundational infrastructure of 5G technology and manages all communication traffic. It plays a critical role in realizing the full potential of 5G services. Core networks focus on optimizing performance and reliability in long-distance and large-scale data transmission. Representing highly functional communication capabilities, the ULAK 5G Core Network provides reliable data exchange pathways between various sub-networks.

The ULAK 5G Core Network introduces two significant advancements: transitioning to a service-based architecture and virtualizing network functions within a cloud-based framework. These developments enhance flexibility, scalability, speed, and low latency, enabling a larger number of devices to connect simultaneously. As a result, they pave the way for digital transformation across various fields, including public safety, smart cities, healthcare, industrial automation, and autonomous vehicles.

The Network Slicing function, recognized by 3GPP as one of the fundamental features of 5G, allows independent operations over the same physical infrastructure. This feature enables multiple logical networks to operate simultaneously, offering flexibility to adapt to different service quality policies and network system requirements. Resources such as bandwidth, processing power, storage, frequency range, and time can be allocated as needed to create custom structures for multiple users or applications.

The ULAK 4G Core Network offers a fast and secure communication infrastructure for public safety, enabling effective response during crises. This structure enhances coordination during emergencies and ensures secure data sharing. It also facilitates the seamless use of applications such as video conferencing, online systems, and other data-intensive services.

Enriched with mission-critical applications, the ULAK 5G Core Network provides specialized mission-critical services such as push-to-talk and group communication for public safety and emergency communication infrastructures. This system is utilized across various domains, from critical energy infrastructures to national data centers.

The ULAK 5G SA (Standalone) Core Network offers a high-performance solution for private networks and is configured in 3GPP Release 15-compliant VNF/CNF forms. The network functions we have developed within this scope are as follows:

  • AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function)
  • SMF (Session Management Function)
  • UPF (User Plane Function)
  • IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem)
  • AUSF (Authentication Server Function)
  • UDM (Unified Data Management)
  • UDR (Unified Data Repository)
  • PCF (Policy Control Function)
  • NRF (Network Repository Function)
  • NSSF (Network Slice Selection Function)
  • NEF (Network Exposure Function)
  • SMSF (Short Message Service Function)

The goal is to nationalize core network technologies belonging to fifth-generation communication systems, which will strengthen national security mechanisms, compete in international markets, and securely control data flow. In this context, the ULAK 5G Core Network, comprising Virtual Network Functions (VNF) and Cloud-Native Functions (CNF), has been developed to meet the private network needs of public safety and private institutions, along with IMS and Mission-Critical Services solutions.
