The fourth edition of the “Global Strategies in Defense and Aerospace Industry Conference” was held at a hotel in the Belek Tourism Center of Antalya, featuring panels by expert participants.

Ruşen Kömürcü, who attended the conference, told the AA correspondent that ULAK Communications Inc. is a company providing base stations to three commercial operators in Türkiye, currently serving with 3,100 base stations across the country.

Kömürcü reminded that preparations for 5G technology are underway in Türkiye and said:
“This year, our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure will hold a tender. As members of the communication technology cluster, we are also working on this matter. Each of our 183 members is developing products and services in different areas of communication. We aim to take part in the infrastructure investments of our country’s operators for 5G. There are sufficient products and solutions available for this.”

Kömürcü noted that ULAK Communications Inc. is actively working both domestically and internationally.
He explained that they are conducting active operations abroad and continued:
“To date, ULAK base stations have been operational in Tajikistan, Niger, and Sudan in terms of exports. We have set specific export targets for new geographies. In line with the export goals of both our Defense Industry Presidency and Aselsan, we have offered proposals in African and Central Asian countries with market potential in 4.5G and 5G technologies, particularly in private networks. We are continuing our export efforts.”

Ruşen Kömürcü emphasized that they are working to establish ULAK in more countries through ongoing export activities.
He mentioned that they will participate in three separate fairs in Africa and the Middle East this year and will also set up a booth at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to showcase ULAK’s progress and technologies to the world.

Kömürcü also explained that they are developing solutions for additional services beyond base stations and GSM communication.
“We are a company that has produced its own products in smart transportation, smart roads, and mobile vehicle and road communication. We are submitting proposals for various projects of our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. We also want to export these products,” he said.

Kömürcü added that they aim to export every product they develop in the IT world.
