Türkiye’s First and Only National Network Solution SD-WAN Unveiled
ULAK Communications, Türkiye’s local and national base station manufacturer, showcased its SD-WAN network solution at the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition (ADEX), where advancements in defense and communication technologies took center stage.
At ADEX, one of the world’s leading defense and security events held in Baku, Azerbaijan, ULAK Communications presented its local and national communication and border security products, including Türkiye’s first and only national SD-WAN network solution.
Proven in public, military institutions, service providers, and private communication infrastructures, the system, already operational at hundreds of locations in Türkiye, made its international debut at ADEX.
SD-WAN, which ensures the secure transmission of critical data carried over networks using high-security national encryption algorithms, has entered the market simultaneously with global competitors and received significant attention.
Through its products, ULAK Communications contributes to Türkiye’s strategic independence and digital transformation in communication. At the exhibition, the company pursued regional and international collaborations by showcasing its innovative products.
5G Solutions Introduced to TEKNOFEST Visitors
Kömürcü emphasized that ULAK is presenting its 5G solutions, previously demonstrated at Istanbul Medipol University, at TEKNOFEST Adana:
"Receiving the first signal from the 5G private network system was a milestone. Using ULAK's own software and products, we achieved speeds of 1.4 gigabits per second. We are preparing these technologies to serve operators and citizens alike. With the auction planned for 2025 and implementation in 2026, we aim to bring end-to-end local and national communication solutions to 5G technology.”

Kömürcü highlighted that ULAK aims to strengthen its competitive edge globally with innovative solutions presented at ADEX 2024:

Kömürcü emphasized that as a local and national technology company, ULAK minimizes dependency on external sources by developing security solutions entirely with domestic resources.
Highlighting the successful performance of ULAK's SD-WAN solution at NATO's largest digital interoperability exercise, CWIX 2024, Kömürcü said:
"During the CWIX exercise, SD-WAN was tested successfully in a real NATO network under military conditions. This success once again demonstrated the competitiveness and effectiveness of Türkiye’s national network solutions on an international scale."
