ULAK Communications Showcases National Communication Solutions at TEKNOFEST Adana
As the organizer of the Wireless Communication Competition within the scope of TEKNOFEST, ULAK Communications is introducing its local and national communication solutions to visitors at TEKNOFEST Adana.
TEKNOFEST Adana, where Anadolu Agency (AA) serves as the global communication partner, is held at Adana Airport under the leadership of the T3 Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, with the participation of 128 institutions, including public organizations, technology giants, universities, and media outlets.
ULAK Communications General Manager Ruşen Kömürcü stated in an interview with AA that this year marks their first participation as a stakeholder at TEKNOFEST, highlighting their role in organizing the Wireless Communication Competition.
Expressing that they are at TEKNOFEST Adana with the top three teams from the finals held in Antalya, Kömürcü said: “The Wireless Communication Competition will continue to be a part of ULAK’s innovation activities and candidate engineering programs. We are proud and happy about this achievement.”
5G Solutions Introduced to TEKNOFEST Visitors
Kömürcü pointed out that ULAK is showcasing its 5G solutions, which were recently demonstrated at Istanbul Medipol University, at TEKNOFEST Adana:
"Receiving the first signal from the 5G private network system was highly significant for us. It marked a milestone in testing the products we have developed in local and national communication technologies. Using a closed-loop system with ULAK's own software and products, we achieved speeds of 1.4 gigabits per second. We are now preparing to deliver these technologies first to our operators and then to our citizens.
Türkiye's transition to 5G will take place with the auction in 2025 and implementation in 2026. Throughout this process, ULAK Communications is working to realize 5G with end-to-end local and national communication solutions. We are proudly showcasing our products in this field at TEKNOFEST.”
UYGAR Communications Pod Developed for ANKA is Showcased
Highlighting the UYGAR Communication Pod developed for the unmanned aerial vehicle ANKA, Kömürcü said:
"With this pod, wireless transmission and communication can be achieved across a 2.5 square kilometer area from an altitude of 20,000 feet for 20 hours. Additionally, we are introducing the new version of our software-defined secure network solution, SD-WAN. Alongside these technologies, we are also engaging with children and young people through various activities at TEKNOFEST Adana.”
Kömürcü emphasized the significance of TEKNOFEST, saying:
"TEKNOFEST is invaluable for fostering technology growth in Türkiye inspiring young people, and promoting the discovery and application of new technologies. We are proud to participate in TEKNOFEST.”
