According to information obtained by an AA correspondent from the company, ULAK Haberleşme AŞ aims to support the development of technologies in this field and contribute to the country’s technological advancements through the Wireless Communication Competition, which is being held for the second time this year as part of the “Kablosuz İletişim Mühendisleri Program.”

With this competition, ULAK Haberleşme, as a TEKNOFEST partner, provides young engineers with an opportunity to showcase their talents while also contributing to the development of local and national communication solutions.

The competition is open to university and institute students studying in Türkiye or abroad. Teams participating in the competition must consist of at least 2 and at most 6 members.

In this challenging competition, participants will test their data transmission performance and software-based communication systems under difficult conditions. Using software-defined radio devices, they will compete to transmit data within an unlicensed spectrum.

During the competition, jamming signals will circulate at specific intervals and frequency ranges, and participants will attempt to transmit their data while avoiding interference effects.

In the competition, where a spectrum allocation with a center frequency of 2.410 GHz and a bandwidth of 20 MHz will be provided, young engineers will be required to establish data transmission between a receiver and a transmitter positioned 15 meters apart.

Applications for the Wireless Communication Competition can be submitted via the “https://www.teknofest.org/tr/yarismalar/kablosuz-haberlesme-yarismasi/” link under the competitions section on TEKNOFEST’s website. The application deadline is February 20.

The finals will be held as part of TEKNOFEST İstanbul, where the winning teams will be announced.

The team that secures first place in the final stage will receive 150,000 Turkish liras, the second-place team will receive 120,000 Turkish liras, and the third-place team will receive 100,000 Turkish liras, with a total of 370,000 Turkish liras in prizes. Additionally, one of the finalist teams will be awarded the “Best Team Spirit” prize.
