According to the ” Türkiye Patent Report 2025″ published by PatentEffect, ULAK Communications continues to consistently expand its patent portfolio, particularly in the field of 6G technology.

Strengthening Global Intellectual Property Presence

The firm’s performance in 2025 highlights its growing influence on both national and international technological stages:

  • PCT Leadership: Ranked #1 in Turkey with 49 international patent applications.
  • USPTO Recognition: Secured a position within the Top 20 of the 2025 USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) registration champions, bolstering its global IP footprint.
  • Sectoral Impact: Ranked among the Top 10 companies in telecommunications with 77 unique patent and utility model applications.

Shaping the Future of 6G

ULAK Communications is aligning its R&D efforts with international standard-setting processes for 2030 and beyond. As a regular participant in 3GPP meetings—the critical technical platforms where global 6G standards are defined—the company has built a robust portfolio of 267 patent applications to date.

This portfolio is the result of coordinated efforts between a core group of expert Turkish engineers, academics, and experienced intellectual property teams. It stands out not only for its volume but for its technological depth and global competitiveness.

Strategic Importance for Türkiye

In the evolving landscape of 6G standards, possessing a strong patent portfolio is essential for Türkiye to remain a decision-maker and a net exporter of technology.

Sami Duman, General Manager of ULAK Communications, emphasized that the company is transforming 6G technologies developed with local engineering power into value-added global outputs.

“With every step we take, we aim to reduce Türkiye’s foreign dependency in communication technologies and establish our country as a leading voice in this field,” Duman stated.
